Production Method Of High Carbon Silicon

May 20, 2024

There are two main production methods of high carbon silicon: outside the furnace method and in-furnace method. The outside-furnace method mainly utilizes the incorporation of silicon and carbon elements into iron alloys to produce iron alloys containing a certain amount of silicon and carbon elements. The furnace method for producing high carbon silicon mainly uses electric furnaces or converters to make steel. The raw materials are first put into molten slag, and then smelted into high carbon silicon through electric heating or chemical reactions.
