Preparation method of ferrosilicon alloy
There are two main preparation methods of ferrosilicon alloy: ironmaking and electric furnace.
Ferrosilicon alloy is prepared by smelting iron ore and smelting agent, the smelting agent is usually silicon-containing waste slag or high silica quartz ore.
Electric furnace method is the use of electric arc furnace or inductance furnace for smelting, through electric energy to melt silicon and iron, and then cooling solidified into ferrosilicon alloy.
