How To Produce High Carbon Silicon

May 12, 2025

High carbon silicon metal comes from the leftover materials from the production of silicon metal, which agglomerates at the bottom of the furnace. The elemental silicon content is usually between 40-70%, and the carbon content is 10-25%. High carbon silicon is often used as a substitute for low-cost ferrosilicon, silicon carbide and recarburizers to reduce steelmaking costs.

It has high density, high purity, pollution-free molten steel, high recovery rate, stable effect, can replace ferrosilicon, silicon carbide, recarburizer, reduce the amount of deoxidizer, simple operation, good performance

Features:

Improve the quality of molten steel, reduce alloy additions and steelmaking costs, and improve economic benefits.
