What Is The Use Of Carbon Raiser?
Oct 09, 2025
Carbon raiser is primarily used to produce carbon products such as cathode blocks and recarburizers. It can also be used as blast furnace injection fuel.
Carbon Product Production
After high-temperature treatment, Carbon raiser exhibits a high fixed carbon content (90%-95%), low ash content (<6%), and low sulfur content, making it an ideal raw material for carbon product production. For example, calcination in an electric calciner at 800-1200°C produces semi-graphitized calcined material for the manufacture of high-quality carbon products such as cathode blocks.
Blast Furnace Injection Fuel
Carbon raiser with a high volatile matter yield (such as No. 2 anthracite) can be used as a blast furnace injection fuel, partially replacing coke and reducing production costs.
Other Uses
In the chemical industry, Carbon raiser can be used as a syngas feedstock. In the power industry, its high calorific value makes it a high-quality fuel.
