More Than 300 Species Of Endangered Wild Animals And Plants Have Recovered And Grown
Aug 28, 2023
Chinese-style modernization is the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. At present, China is actively implementing major projects for biodiversity conservation. A large number of rare and endangered species have been effectively protected, and beautiful ecological pictures are unfolding.
This is an image of the activities of rare wild animals captured by infrared cameras deployed in more than 9,000 nature reserves in my country. Asian elephants, snow leopards, Siberian tigers, Hainan gibbons... More than 300 endangered wild animal and plant species in my country have achieved restorative growth, and their habitats and breeding environments have continued to improve. Among them, the protection of giant pandas is a successful example of the protection of endangered species in the world. At the Dujiangyan base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, staff members take care of the elderly giant pandas "Baiyun" and "Ximeng". With the improvement of breeding management and disease prevention and control technology, the average lifespan of giant pandas has been continuously extended, and the threat level has been reduced from "endangered" to "vulnerable".
Chen Rui, a breeder at the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Pandas: "Baiyun" is 32 years old, which is about 100 years old for humans, and "Ximeng" is also 30 years old, and they are all healthy. They also have special identities. "Baiyun" is the grandma of the giant panda "Hahao" who lived in Belgium, and "Ximeng" is the grandfather of the giant panda "Xinghui" who lived in Belgium.
Dong Bo, Director of Paradise Zoo in Belgium: I am very interested in the great changes that are taking place in China. China is unswerving and has made continuous efforts to promote the symbiosis of all things and build a harmonious and beautiful green homeland, which is a true portrayal of the harmonious symbiosis between man and nature. It's an amazing feat.
In today's China, the giant panda is not the only species that escapes the risk of extinction, and high-level protection methods are helping the protection of endangered wild animals. The picture of this group of wild sika deer taking their cubs for a leisurely walk by the creek was recently captured by an infrared camera in Jiangxi Taohongling Sika Deer National Nature Reserve.
The modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature is one of the important features of Chinese-style modernization, and it is also the meaning of the new form of human civilization. The construction of China's ecological civilization and the construction of a beautiful China will provide guarantees for the sustainable reproduction of the Chinese nation, and will also promote the building of a community of life between man and nature and a community of shared future for mankind.
