Origin of Army Day
August 1 Army Day is the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It is set on August 1 every year and is established by the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission to commemorate the founding of the Chinese Workers and Peasants' Red Army.
On July 11, 1933, the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic decided that August 1 would be the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in accordance with the recommendation of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission on June 30. On June 15, 1949, the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission issued an order to use the word "August 1" as the main symbol of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's flag and military emblem. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, this anniversary was renamed the Founding Day of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

The flag of the Chinese People's Liberation Army is the symbol of the armed forces of the People's Republic of China and a symbol of the honor of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The military song of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the song is called "March of the Chinese People's Liberation Army". Originally "March of the Eighth Route Army", it was composed in 1939 by Zhang Songru (Gong Mu) and composed by Zheng Lucheng. On July 25, 1988, it was identified as the military song of the Chinese People's Liberation Army by the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China.
