1. Oxidation Resistance and Corrosion Resistance

High carbon silicon possess excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, maintaining stability at high temperatures and exhibiting a low coefficient of thermal expansion and good thermal stability. These properties allow High carbon silicon to operate and exist stably in various media.

 

2. Deoxidation Performance

Since High carbon silicon contain silicon, when added during steelmaking, the silicon reacts with oxygen, deoxidizing the molten steel and improving its hardness and quality. Furthermore, the silicon in High carbon silicon has a good affinity for oxygen, preventing splashing in the molten steel after addition.

 

3. Slag Collection Performance

High carbon silicon also have the advantage of slag collection. Adding a certain proportion of High carbon silicon to molten steel allows oxides from the steelmaking process to quickly agglomerate, facilitating filtration and resulting in purer steel, significantly increasing its density and hardness.
