Types of recarburizers
Recarburizers are additives that can increase the carbon content in molten iron. According to different chemical
compositions and uses, recarburizers can be divided into many types.

1.The first is graphite electrode recarburizer, the main component of which is high-purity natural graphite or artificial
graphite, which is used in steelmaking furnaces and electric furnaces in steel smelting.

2.The second is coke powder recarburizer, the main component of which is coal coke powder, which is often used in casting and steel
smelting. However, coke powder recarburizers are volatile, easy to burn and produce dust, which causes certain harm to the environment and personnel health.

3.The third is artificial graphite recarburizer, the main component of which is high-temperature graphitized tar or polystyrene, which has the advantages of stability and high purity, and is used in steel smelting and casting.

4.The fourth is silicon-calcium recarburizer, the main component of which is a complex of elements such as silicon, calcium and carbon,
which can increase the carbon content in molten iron and the stability of liquid metal, and is often used in casting production.

In addition to the above-mentioned common carburizers, there are other types of carburizers, such as silicon-aluminum carburizers, silicon-vanadium carburizers, etc. Selecting a suitable carburizer according to specific uses and requirements can improve product quality and reduce production costs.
