The Physical properties of carbon additive

Jan 20, 2025

Physical properties
1. Appearance: The carburizer should be granular or blocky, with no serious crushing, cracks or holes on the surface.
2. Density: The density of the carburizer should meet the requirements of relevant standards, generally between 1.8-2.1g/cm³.
3. Hardness: The hardness of the carburizer should be moderate, not too hard or too soft, so as to facilitate crushing and mixing.
4. Water content: The water content of the carburizer should be lower than the requirements of relevant standards, generally controlled below 0.5%.
5. Particle size distribution: The particle size distribution of the carburizer should meet the requirements of relevant standards to ensure uniform dispersion during crushing and mixing.
6. Surface morphology: The surface morphology of the carburizer should be as smooth as possible to reduce friction and wear with the equipment.
