Is high carbon silicon the same as silicon carbon alloy?
High carbon silicon is an alloy composed of silicon and carbon, also known as silicon carbon alloy. they are the same.
1) No hydrogen source is generated during the deoxidation process to ensure safety and reliability;
2) Carbon and silicon are important elements that determine the function of steel. High-carbon ferro silicon can not only react with oxygen in molten steel to achieve deoxidation effect, but the remaining carbon and silicon that have not been oxidized can also be dissolved in molten steel to increase silicon. 3) In order to obtain steel with qualified chemical composition and ensure the quality of steel, steelmaking needs to be deoxidized. The chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen is very large, so ferro silicon is a strong deoxidizer in steelmaking for precipitation and diffusion deoxidization. Adding a certain amount of silicon to steel can significantly improve the strength, hardness and elasticity of steel.
