Appearance quality: High quality ferro silicon should be dark gray, with bright and uniform metallic luster. The surface should be smooth, crack-free, and free of oxidation. Ferro silicon with uneven color, dull or rough surface, many cracks, or oxidation may be of poor quality.
1. Composition content: The silicon content of high-quality ferrosilicon should meet national standards and have low impurity content. Generally, the content of calcium oxide and magnesium oxide in ferro silicon should be less than 1%.
2. Physical properties: The density and hardness of ferro silicon are important indicators reflecting its physical properties. Ferro silicon with uniform particle size distribution is more in line with production requirements, and thermal stability and magnetism are also important parameters for evaluating its quality.
Differences between natural blocks and standard blocks of ferro silicon
Composition and stability: Natural blocks of ferro silicon are mostly formed after smelting of raw materials, and the composition is relatively unstable; while standard blocks of ferro silicon are made through fine processing, and the composition is relatively stable.
Shape and specifications: The natural ferro silicon block has irregular shape and uneven block shape; the shape of the ferro silicon standard block is generally produced according to standardized standards, and the length, width and height are relatively uniform.
