Ferro silicon and ferrosilicon and fesi

1. Classification:
According to the smelting method, ferrosilicon is divided into four categories: high-silicon ferrosilicon (GG), ordinary ferrosilicon (PG), low-aluminum ferrosilicon (DL) and high-purity ferrosilicon (GC). High-purity ferrosilicon refers to ferrosilicon with low impurity element content produced by out-of-furnace refining.
2. Representation method of grade:
First, the first two represent the classification of ferrosilicon: high-silicon ferrosilicon (GG), ordinary ferrosilicon (PG), low-aluminum ferrosilicon (DL) and high-purity ferrosilicon (GC);
Then there is the code name representing the ferrosilicon product, such as FeSi;
Next is the content (mass fraction) that represents the lower limit of silicon control, for example, 97 means the lower limit is 97%;
Then it is the content (mass fraction) indicating the sum of the main impurity elements and the upper limit of the result control. For example, Al1.5 means that the main impurity element is aluminum, and the upper limit of the control is 1.5%.
The last is the classification (A/B/C) based on the content of minor impurity elements, which is limited to high-purity ferrosilicon.
In addition to being used as a deoxidizer in the iron and steel smelting industry, ferrosilicon can also be used as an alloying element additive, and is widely used in low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel and electrical silicon steel. In production and chemical industry, it is often used as a reducing agent.
