How To Develop New Productive Forces According To Local Conditions

Mar 25, 2024

During the National Two Sessions this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that we must firmly grasp the primary task of high-quality development and develop new productive forces according to local conditions. At the same time, it was emphasized that the development of new productive forces does not mean neglecting or abandoning traditional industries. It is necessary to prevent herds and bubbles, and it is not necessary to establish a model. Traditional industries are the basis for forming new productive forces. Many traditional industries have been transformed and transformed into the main battlefield for cultivating new productive forces. How to develop new productive forces according to local conditions? How to improve the quality of traditional industries? Governments and enterprises in various places are exploring their own paths.
The use of new tools and new methods can significantly shorten the R&D and design cycle, thereby accelerating product iteration, which is very important in the competition in the field of new energy heavy trucks. Data show that in the past February, the actual sales of my country's new energy heavy truck terminals increased by 70% year-on-year, achieving year-on-year growth for 13 consecutive months. In the face of ever-expanding market demand, whoever can first find the most suitable technical route and profit model will dominate the market.
At present, most companies in the chemical industry refine and produce methanol from fossil raw materials, and then use methanol to produce downstream products. Generally speaking, it is a process of mining, utilizing and emitting the "carbon" in fossil raw materials into the atmosphere. This project uses internationally leading green technology to turn carbon dioxide in waste gas into treasure and high-end new materials, narrowing the localization gap in the high-end market and improving the company's core competitiveness.
In September 2021, Shenghong Petrochemical cooperated with leading international companies to jointly develop the "150,000-ton carbon dioxide capture and comprehensive utilization project", and was the first in China to launch the "carbon dioxide capture and utilization-methanol-new energy and new materials" industrial chain Construction, in order to achieve carbon reduction goals and promote the "renewed" development of the traditional petrochemical industry.

After two years of hard work, the carbon dioxide-to-methanol project with an annual output of 100,000 tons was officially put into operation, laying the foundation for subsequent methanol preparation of other products. The project is designed to actively absorb 150,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year and convert 100,000 tons of methanol per year. Just like afforestation, this device simulates photosynthesis, absorbs carbon dioxide, and has a recovery and conversion rate of nearly 100%, indirectly reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 550,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to planting 37,000 hectares of forest.
General Secretary Xi Jinping hosted a symposium on promoting the rise of the central region in the new era on March 20 and delivered an important speech, emphasizing: "In-depth implementation of major technological transformation and upgrading and large-scale equipment update projects in the manufacturing industry, and the promotion of high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing. Globalized development will bring new vitality to traditional industries." Traditional industries account for more than 80% of my country's manufacturing industry and are the foundation of the modern industrial system. Only by transforming and upgrading traditional industries according to local conditions can we cultivate new productive forces and accelerate the release of new momentum for high-quality development.
