According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on July 15, according to preliminary calculations, the gross domestic product (GDP) in the first half of the year was 56,264.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.5% at constant prices. Among them, the GDP in the second quarter was 29,246.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%.

The economy maintained good growth in January and February this year, the economy declined in March, the major economic indicators fell deeply in April, the decline in major economic indicators narrowed in May, and the economy stabilized and rebounded in June. In the second quarter, the economy withstood pressure and achieved positive growth. The overall trend of "downward → stabilizing → recovery" shows that China's economy has withstood challenges, difficulties and uncertainties, with strong resilience and great potential, and its macroeconomic policies are scientific and powerful.
