The Chengdu Universiade is divided into 18 competitions including archery, gymnastics, track and field, badminton, basketball, diving, fencing, judo, rhythmic gymnastics, rowing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, water polo and martial arts. There are a total of 269 small events. More than 10,000 athletes and officials from 170 countries and regions will participate in Chengdu.
Average age of 22.9 years

The Chinese delegation to the Chengdu Universiade is composed of more than 700 people, and 411 athletes from more than 100 colleges and universities in 25 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities will participate in the Chengdu Universiade competition.
The average age of athletes in the Chinese delegation is 22.9 years old. There are 206 male athletes and 205 female athletes. 387 are participating in the World University Summer Games for the first time, and 344 are representing their country in the World Multi-sports Games for the first time.

Among the competition venues for the Chengdu Universiade, 36 venues were renovated and upgraded from existing buildings, and 13 newly-built venues all reached the two-star green building standard.
100 minutes

After more than 1,000 days of preparation, the opening ceremony of the Chengdu Universiade will be held at Chengdu Dong'an Lake Sports Park at 20:00 on July 28. In order to be "simple, safe and wonderful", the opening ceremony lasted less than 100 minutes.
