High carbon silicon is a commonly used silicon carbon alloy in the steelmaking industry, primarily used for deoxidation and carbonization of molten steel, replacing traditional ferrosilicon and carbonizing agents. High carbon silicon is an alloy used in steelmaking. It is essentially an alloy composed of silicon and carbon, sometimes called a silicon carbon alloy.

Main elements: The core components are silicon (Si) and carbon (C). Silicon content is typically between 40% and 72%, and carbon content is around 10% to 24%.

Other impurities: It may also contain small amounts of iron, sulfur, phosphorus, etc. Reputable products strictly control the content of these impurities.

High carbon silicon is mainly used in steel mills during steelmaking, saving costs and improving steel quality.

Deoxidation and carbonization: When added to molten steel, it reacts rapidly with oxygen, removing it while simultaneously replenishing carbon, making the steel composition more compliant with standards.

**Replaces Traditional Materials:** It can replace more expensive ferrosilicon powder, silicon carbide, and carburizing agents because of its superior deoxidation effect and carbon recovery rate exceeding 98%.

**Improves Steel Quality:** It reduces sulfur and phosphorus impurities in molten steel, resulting in more stable steel properties. It also reduces slag and protects the furnace lining.
