Products Description
This standard is applicable to deoxidation, silicon addition and carburization in steelmaking and casting, and to effectively improve the element recovery rate and to stabilize the quality of molten steel with high carbon silicon.
1.technical requirements
1.1 Grade and chemical composition
High-carbon silicon is divided into two grades according to the content of silicon and carbon, and its chemical composition is as shown in Table 1.

The buyer has special requirements on the supply granularity, which can be solved through negotiation with the supplier.
2.test method
2.1 Sampling
The chemical analysis samples were taken according to GB/T4333.1 (perchloric acid dehydration gravimetric method). No less than 10 points are sampled for each batch, and the sample weight is no less than 5 kg.
2.2 Chemical analysis methods
The chemical analysis method of high carbon silicon is carried out according to GB/T4333.1 (perchloric acid dehydration gravimetric method).
2.3 The particle size test uses a square-hole steel sieve or a square-hole sieve for sieving.
3.inspection rules
3.1 Quality inspection and acceptance
The quality inspection and acceptance of products shall meet the requirements of GB/T4333.1 《General Regulations for Ferroalloy Acceptance, Packaging, Storage and Transportation, Marking and Quality Certificates》.
3.2 Batch
High carbon silicon is batched according to the same batch number, but the fluctuation range of Si content should not exceed 1%-2%.

4.1 Packaging
High carbon silicon can be delivered in bulk bags, containers, bags, etc. according to the requirements of the buyer. When packaged in bags or containers, there should be obvious signs on the outside of the package.
4.2 Storage and transportation, marking and quality certificate
The storage and transportation, marking and quality certificate of the product shall comply with the requirements of GB/T4333.1 《General Regulations for Ferroalloy Acceptance, Packaging, Storage and Transportation, Marking and Quality Certificates》.
