Ferro silicon 75(FeSi 75)
Ferro silicon is a ferro silicon alloy made from coke, steel scraps, and quartz (or silica) smelted in an electric furnace.

Ferro Silicon (FeSi) 75% is an iron-silicon alloy containing 74–80% silicon (Si) and the remainder primarily iron (Fe), along with small amounts of other elements like aluminum (Al), calcium (Ca), and carbon (C).
Application
Steelmaking:
Used as a deoxidizer to remove oxygen from molten steel.
Acts as an alloying agent to improve steel strength and corrosion resistance.
Helps in graphitization in cast iron production.
Foundry Industry:
Added to cast iron to control graphite formation and improve mechanical properties.
Magnesium Production:
Used in the Pidgeon process to produce magnesium metal.
Welding Electrodes:
Sometimes used in electrode coatings.
Other Uses:
In manufacturing hydrogen gas via reaction with sodium hydroxide.
